This course will help you to become familiar with some of the guidelines,
tools, and resources for creating effective and appropriate clinical
documentation.

Objectives |
After completing the course, you will be able to:
- Analyze current trends and issues regarding physical therapy
clinical documentation.
- Describe typical challenges faced by physical therapists and
physical therapist assistants in clinical documentation.
- Identify strategies to facilitate efficient and effective documentation
skills.
- Apply the components of appropriate clinical documentation for
clinical practice, compliance, risk management, regulatory, and
reimbursement requirements.
- Describe best practices for documenting patient/client care
in physical therapy, including evidence-based practice and outcomes
tools.
- Access tools and resources needed to document effectively, and
satisfy regulatory, payer, and clinic requirements
