This webinar will be recorded live on December 11, 2019, 2:00-3:30 pm EDT. This course will provide immediate guidance on how organizations can improve their management of clinical quality through more effective use of clinical data. Specifically, this course will share organizational facilitators and barriers to PT managers' effective oversight of clinical quality through the use of information systems. The presenter will focus on a review of his recent research, review of the current literature, and also draw on the presenter's extensive history of quality management experience. Additionally, the course material will be grounded in recent research of PT managers' information needs and perceived facilitators and barriers as they attempt to manage clinical quality among their various other daily responsibilities. This presentation will help leaders better understand how stakeholder values, organizational priorities, organizational structure, and incentive strategies can impact managers' effectiveness in overseeing clinical quality.

About the speaker:

Chris oversees quality initiatives and knowledge management for Therapeutic Associates Inc. Additionally, he is a PhD candidate at Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine in Biomedical Informatics. His research focuses on the adoption of health information technology, design and integration of decision support systems, and the organizational behavioral influences on system implementation projects. He has been a practicing PT for 18 years, consulted with numerous companies on implementation of quality improvement programs, and also teaches orthopedics at the pre and post-professional levels.
