Our gut is real link between health and disease states. Learn how the gut functions in your patient’s ability to heal properly. Get comfortable with speaking with your patients on their overall nutritional state and learn how to enhance your treatments even further through the gut brain connection and its link to anti-inflammatory states.

Meet our Speakers

Tamara Weinstein PT, DPT, MS has over 20 years of clinical experience. She is the owner and CEO of Action Physical Therapy, founded in 1992, specializing in pediatric and cardiopulmonary physical therapy, and she works with adults with developmental disabilities. She also is adjunct clinical faculty at New York Medical College, where she is involved in various courses in the DPT program and assists teaching exercise science and cardiopulmonary physical therapy. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology from University at Albany, her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physical therapy from Long Island University, and her doctorate in physical therapy from University of Montana. She currently is enrolled in a clinical nutrition degree course through NCBI. Weinstein has been lecturing in the community on health, wellness, lifestyle, and nutrition in a variety of settings.

Jennifer Darby PT, DPT is a certified exercise expert for the aging adult, a board-certified geriatric specialist, and certified in allied health administration. She brings almost 20 years of clinical experience in the geriatric and orthopedic fields. She is the owner of Trinity Wellness in Brewster, New York, a clinical adjunct faculty member at New York Medical College, and faculty at Summit Post Professional Educational Institute. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Northeastern University and her physical therapy doctorate from the University of Montana. She currently is enrolled in a clinical nutrition degree course through NCBI. Darby has developed various community-based educational and nutritional programs for seniors.
