By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1. Explain the study’s methodology and the productivity metrics used to evaluate the impact of postprofessional education programs.
2. Summarize the key findings comparing productivity among residency‑trained, fellowship‑trained, and non‑postprofessional‑trained clinicians.
3. Discuss the implications of the study’s results for organizational financial return and departmental resource allocation.
4. Analyze the factors identified in the study that contribute to variation in clinician productivity across training levels.
5. Apply the study’s findings to develop evidence‑supported justification for implementing or expanding post professional training programs within an organization.

John J. DeWitt, PT, DPT, AT, Associate Director of Education and Professional Development and an Associate Clinical Professor in Rehabilitation Services at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He also serves as faculty in the School of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences within the College of Medicine at The Ohio State University. His work focuses on postprofessional physical therapy education, clinical productivity, mentorship, and organizational outcomes. He has served on the ABPTRFE Accreditation Council, Onsite Team, and Standards Committee.
