Scholarly Agendas

Course Description: 

This course provides physical therapist and physical therapist assistant educators with the tools and strategies to develop and implement effective scholarly agendas that advance personal, institutional, and professional goals. Participants will explore the components of successful scholarly agendas, including writing a researchable question, and learn to align their research and academic activities with broader professional priorities.

New physical therapy faculty

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of the Educational Session, attendees will

1. Define a personal scholarly agenda
2. Describe the alignment of their scholarly agenda with their other responsibilities.
3. Write a researchable question based on their topic of interest
4. Outline 3-5 scholarly goals based on their topic of interest
5. Summarize a scholarly agenda for CAPTE and/or Institutional purposes
