Speaker: Jeb Helms, PT, EdD
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Differentiate traditional knowledge-based assessments from authentic assessments designed to evaluate the clinical application of anatomical knowledge.
2. Identify strategies for incorporating technology, including virtual anatomy resources and video-based questions, into competency-based anatomical assessments.
3. Analyze the advantages and limitations of flexible assessment deadlines in competency-based education, particularly their effects on learner pacing and preparation.
4. Explain how backward design can align anatomical competencies, assessment strategies, and instructional activities within a CBE curriculum.
