Good afternoon!
I'm writing to see if anyone has information regarding if this workshop received an Ohio approval number for CEUs. I seem to remember it being mentioned briefly during the course, but am unsure what came to fruition. I am unable to locate it on the 2023 Ohio-approved courses PDF resources, but I wanted to follow-up and see if anyone else had information.
Thank you so much!
Hayleigh, I confirmed with our office that we have approval from Ohio for CEU. I've got an email into Ohio. I see we are listed for 2022, but not 2023 on the list you are speaking of:
Steven
Hayleigh, let me double check. I thought the answer was yes!

I'm in a holding pattern waiting for the host to start and I vaguely remember something about a new link but I didn't get one.

Hello all,
Are any of you part of rural programs that do Integrated Clinical Experiences? If so, would you be willing to discuss how you approach it? We would love to do it but are having challenges figuring out the logistics of how to do it.
Thank you!
Brittany
Does anyone have any literature debunking teaching to comfortable learning styles? I thought it was in our course content but I'm not finding that portion. Thanks!
Courtney, I added a few articles to the shared files folder. Hope you find them helpful!
Courtney, that is a complex question on many levels. Perhaps at the root is the nature that most students are multi-modal and don't fit easily into one single modal learning box?

Hi All,
I had asked about the possibility of getting contact information for those attending the course who wanted to give it. I believe they said there was a google form here in the discussion board, but I don't see it. Could someone point me in the right direction.
Thanks

Hello!
I've completed my evaluation and assessments, but the CEU transcript is not yet showing up in the APTA Learning Center. Anyone else have an issue with this? I thought the certificate would automatically show up. Or will it not show up until August 24?
Thank you!
Maria Osborne

Maria, I heard yesterday, there is a delay from the APTA in getting our data (assessment scores) into their certificate / transcript system. Hopefully that will be resolved within the next week! SGL
Phys Ther Faculty Development Workshop Participants:
Hello everyone! Here are a few housekeeping things post workshop:
1) Please complete your post workshop evaluations and assessments for CEU elements by AUG 24 2023.
2) A note on service as a new faculty member, I don't remember it being talked about, but I like to recommend a triad approach in your life <> work integration meaning, have committee service at the program level, college/university level, and then at the professional level. Keep in mind how heavy the work load is for a given committee and does it fit well into your overall professional development and promotion strategies.
If you are in need of a professional level committee assignment, here is an opportunity: "Call for Members on the newly developing Webinar Series Planning Committee. Members of this committee will meet regularly to achieve the ongoing implementation of the new Academy Webinar Series. Each member will be responsible for the implementation of one of the seven planned webinars over the course of the academic year as well as the assessing the effectiveness of programming strategies. Three 2-year appointments and two 1-year appointments are available to help get a rotation of committee members with positions starting as soon as possible."
If you are interested please email me!

Phys Ther Faculty Development Workshop Participants:
Hope all is well and that you had a great time at the workshop last week in Chicago! It is so energizing to be around such great individuals and I know the future of the academy is in great hands with all of you!
Don't forget about the post workshop Zoom networking and mentoring sessions we will have set up. Go back to your course LMS and the Zoom links for each of the four sessions are found under the components/handouts tab. Topics are general and if you have specific needs we can address those too!
Take a look at the share files tab as lots of great material is being posted there for your consumption. There is also a link to a shared google drive file on the discussion tab that is giving folks the chance to find research collaborators!

Hi! Would anyone like to share any resources they have used for case studies? I teach ortho, kinesiology/anatomy, acute care, cardiopulmonary, pathology, intro to PTA, and seminar. I have used case studies from McGraw Hill, textbooks, and physioU. TIA!
ACAPT recently provided access to their Simulation Library:

I have not yet had the opportunity to delve into it, but it seems like a great resource!
I know it can be expensive but EHRgo has built in cases that you can tweak too!
