This course will provide a general overview of ethics by breaking down the key terms pertaining to ethical conduct, discussing the code of ethics, discussing how ethics differ from laws, and how this directly relates to the professional responsibilities of both the PT and PTA. Ethical situations arise daily in the physical therapy profession and this course instructs the participant in practical application of ethical decision making using the Realm-Individual Process-Situation Model of Ethical Decision-Making, (RIPS) model.
