- Infusing Change: Helping the Resident to Integrate New Information and Ideas
Our featured presenters are:
Carol Jo Tichenor, PT, MA, FAPTA Carol Jo is the former Director of the Kaiser Permanente PT Fellowship in Advanced Orthopedic Manual Therapy in Union City, California. In 1991 she served on the first APTA Task Force whose charge was to establish recommendations for accreditation of clinical residencies. Since then I’ve spent much of my career working to create educational resources and standards for clinical residencies and fellowships.
Kimberly Miczak, PT, NCS Physical Therapist, Drucker Brain Injury Center, MossRehab, Elkins Park, PA Coordinator, Neurologic PT Residency, Moss Rehab, Elkins Park, PA. Kimberly has been mentoring since 2007, in the Neuro PT residency program as a clinician in our outpatient/community re-entry program of our Brain Injury Center. She acquired the role of residency coordinator in 2013, which allows her to participate in clinical mentoring for residents, as well as mentor development & training for new mentors in the residency program.
Arielle Resnick Arielle was the pilot resident in the Neurologic residency at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in 2011. She has been part of the mentor faculty since earning her NCS in 2013, and is now the Program Coordinator. She oversees mentor development, develops remediation plans for residents and mentors, and provides lectures and labs on clinical skills, research appraisal, and exam taking strategies.
Raine Osborne, DPT, FAAOMPT, OCS Raine Osborne has mentored close to 40 residents over the past nine years as faculty member with the Brooks Institute of Higher Learning in Jacksonville, Florida. He served as the coordinator for the UNF/Brooks Orthopaedic Residency program for six years and has also worked with residents from geriatric, and women's health residency programs. He has provided mentoring in the areas of clinical practice, professional service. professional development, and research. Raine has also provided mentoring to physical therapists who are in training to become residency mentors.
