Integrative Lifestyle Medicine for Disease ManagementCourse Overview
This interactive presentation will provide clinician’s practical integrative lifestyle medicine intervention strategies for disease management and prevention. The unique presentation will provide evidence-based interventions such as sustainable exercise, restorative sleep, stress management, nutrition for healing, preventing substance abuse, and utilizing healthy habits to help patients obtain optimal health and maximize recovery.
Meet our Presenter
Ziya “Z” Altug, PT, DPT, MS, OCS, CSCSis a board-certified orthopaedic clinical specialist with 30 years of experience in treating musculoskeletal conditions. He currently treats patients privately in Los Angeles, works as an adjunct assistant professor, and conducts integrative pain management workshops. He also is a certified strength and conditioning specialist.
Altug received a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Pittsburgh and his DPT from the College of St. Scholastica. He obtained a master’s degree in sport and exercise studies and a bachelor’s degree in physical education from West Virginia University. He is a longstanding member of APTA, the California Physical Therapy Association, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has attended numerous workshops including yoga, tai chi, qigong, Pilates, Feldenkrais Method, and the Alexander Technique.
