Participants will receive essential information on what a peer reviewer is and does.

Meet our Presenter

Evelyn Capdevila, PT, MPT, is a licensed physical therapist with over 26 years in the field. Ms. Capdevila has extensive experience working in an outpatient setting as a Clinical Director, Clinic owner, Medicare surveyor, educator, chart auditor, clinical review specialist and post payment auditor. Since 2009, Ms. Capdevila has been performing peer reviews, for state and federal compliance in regards to documentation and reimbursement, as well as appeals and reconsiderations. In 2013, she specialized in workers compensation, including therapy, work hardening and work conditioning. Evelyn has given in services and courses to clinics and therapists in Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida and New York. Ms. Capdevila is on the committee for Florida National University Physical Therapist Assistant program, and has spoken at a national conference for minority Physical Therapists. Evelyn earned her Master of Physical Therapy degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
