Participants must complete either the ABPTRFE Candidacy Workshop (for programs preparing for candidacy or initial accreditation) or the ABPTRFE Accreditation Workshop
(for programs preparing for renewal of accreditation) prior to attending this in-person event.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

1. Evaluate the resources required to develop and sustain a residency or fellowship program, including effective approaches to forming partnerships and consortia.
2. Develop a clear and aligned program mission, goals, and outcomes that reflect ABPTRFE standards.
3. Map major curricular content areas, based on the Description of Residency Practice (DRP) or Description of Fellowship Practice (DFP), to the program’s goals and outcomes.
4. Describe the purpose and components of the self-evaluation process within ABPTRFE accreditation.
5. Navigate the ABPTRFE accreditation portal to support the submission and management of accreditation materials.

Course Instructions

1. Click on the Contents tab to watch the course recording.
2. Click the Take Quiz button to complete the assessment. Learners will have 3 attempts to pass and must answer at least 70% of questions correctly.
3. Click Fill Out Survey under the Evaluation listing to provide valuable course feedback. Scroll down on all questions as there may be answer options that expand past the size of the window.
4. Click the View/Print Your Certificate button under the Certificate listing. You can view/print your certificate at any time by visiting the APTA Learning Center and clicking the CEU Certificate/Transcript link on the left-hand side of the page.
