Attendees of all levels of educators and clinical experience will learn about the connections among emotions, workload demands, and teaching/learning in the acute care PT setting. This educational session will employ lecture, audience participation, and student scenario illustrations to integrate knowledge of the multifactorial contributions that anxiety and communication have on student and clinician performance. Speakers from academic, clinical education, and clinical aspects of PT will focus on challenging situations, factors that contribute to these, and creative solutions that help elevate all aspects of PT education and delivery, to allow all parties to keep the focus on patients.
