This course equips physical therapy professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to support safe pain management and respond to opioid-related situations in clinical settings. Participants will learn how to recognize signs of opioid use and overdose, distinguish overdose from cardiac arrest, understand when naloxone is indicated, and apply effective pain management alternatives and patient support strategies.
