Course 3: Navigating Direct Access and Primary Care: Legislative Updates and Payer Communication

This course explores the latest legislative updates and direct access initiatives that empower physical therapists in their communities. Learn about the distinctions between direct access and primary care, and effective communication strategies for working with payers.

  1. Understand the federal and state direct access regulations as they relate to the profession of physical therapy.
  2. Describe the difference between primary care physical therapy and direct access.
  3. Explore communication strategies when working with payers.
