As therapists, we often use tools to enable quality patient care. The Covid-19 pandemic pushed clinicians to use all the toolbox tools to adapt to the barriers we faced. The better we select and utilize the right tools for a job, the better our outcomes. For these cases, telehealth was the right tool for the job. This elective webinar will examine how both the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City and Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, confronted the pandemics' challenges with successful telehealth implementations. The presenters will describe how each program defined the evolving pandemic challenges, designed plans to address the challenges, built teams to develop and implement the plan, and how both programs leveraged telehealth strategies to meet the patients’ needs despite any pandemic constraints. The presenters will also review non-pandemic telehealth usages and future considerations.
