Learning Objectives:
- Describe basic principles of neuro rehab in the management of hemiparesis.
- Identify or describe synergy patterns of the hemi-body.
- Build understanding of techniques/cueing to use while facilitating bed repositioning for a patient with hemiparesis.
- Build understanding of positioning options/supports in supine, lying on affected side and lying on non-affected side.

Dr. Beth Muldrow graduated from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2008 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. She is currently the Lead Physical Therapist at Kansas Rehabilitation Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. Over a 15-year career with Encompass Health she has completed the following credentials: Certified Brain Injury Specialist, Certified Neuro-Developmental Treatment; Wound Care Certified and Lee Silverman Voice Treatment – BIG. Beth has a passion for adult rehab and specifically is experienced in managing hemiparesis in an in-patient setting.
