Using telehealth in physical therapy has potential to demonstrate cost savings, effectiveness, and patient satisfaction. However, the use of telehealth has been stalled by licensure, regulatory, and payment barriers. Moving forward, implementation of the interstate physical therapy licensure compact and federal telehealth initiatives represent opportunities for the profession. This webinar will describe current telehealth practices in physical therapy in order for you to implement future possibilities for your practice in the digital age.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this session, the attendees will be able to:
- Define telehealth, telemedicine, and telerehabilitation.
- Describe current evidence demonstrating benefits and limitations of telehealth.
- Describe data standards in the Physical Therapy Outcomes Registry for telehealth.
- Identify current telehealth practices in physical therapy.
