Course Details (In-Person): 

  • Date: Saturday, October 25, 2025 
  • Time: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 
  • Location: APTA Centennial Center, 7th Floor 3030 Potomac Ave, Alexandria, VA 22305 

This full-day CEU course is designed for PTs and PTAs who treat distance runners. You’ll explore practical strategies for preventing and managing common overuse injuries, analyzing running gait, and guiding safe return-to-run plans. 

Race Details: 

  • Marine Corps Marathon: Sunday, October 26, 2025 

Bibs are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis to course registrants. All participants will receive an APTA Running Team t-shirt, a post-course pasta dinner, and snacks throughout the course day (lunch on your own).

Course Instructions

  1. Click on the Contents tab to watch the course recording.
  2. Click the Take Quiz button to complete the assessment. Learners will have 3 attempts to pass and must answer at least 70% of questions correctly.
  3. Click Fill Out Survey under the Evaluation listing to provide valuable course feedback. Scroll down on all questions as there may be answer options that expand past the size of the window.
  4. Click the View/Print Your Certificate button under the Certificate listing. You can view/print your certificate at any time by visiting the APTA Learning Center and clicking the CEU Certificate/Transcript link on the left-hand side of the page.
