This webinar is complementary to the “The How-To Manual” of the APTA Private Practice. This webinar focuses on Chapter 1: Select and Design a Practice Site: Use a Competitive Marketing Analysis to Guide Your Decision. Save & Bundle by purchasing all 13 chapters of the How-To Series here!
A successful physical therapy clinic does not happen by chance. In fact, while opening your first, second, or even third clinic comes with great opportunity, it also comes with great risk. You can substantially minimize your risk and improve your odds of success by taking 9 critical steps. These steps have been utilized to start hundreds of first clinics, as well as second, third, etc. It all starts with the end in mind by you painting a picture in your head of what this clinic will be from the inside out by keeping your mission, vision, and values at the center and a part of every decision. There are many objective analysis steps, including a competitive analysis, that will help you not fall into the “prime real estate” trap. And the most important step that is often overlooked is to make sure you have “lived” in the market (even for a few days) to truly get through the surface of what is happening in a community. Follow these steps, and you will start clinics that are cash flow positive in 6-9 months!
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to
-utilize objective data to predict what location would give the greatest odds of success with their new clinic.
-create an operations and financial budget to guide what funding will be necessary and to monitor and measure their progress.
-determine the square footage size of their new clinic in order to pave a road to a profitable clinic clearly.
