Level: Multiple Levels
This webinar is complementary to the “The How-To Manual” of the APTA Private Practice. This webinar focuses on Chapter 7: Revenue Cycle. Save & Bundle by purchasing all 13 chapters of the How-To Series here!
The revenue cycle is the collection of all clinical and administrative processes, policies, and training put together in a coordinated effort to accomplish fair payment for the practice. The revenue cycle starts at the first point of contact a patient has with your practice through the collection of intake information until the patient has been discharged and their bill is paid in full.
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
-understand the importance of patient check-in and the urgency to lay out the payment process first thing. Transparency in cost and payment plans is part of ensuring early cash flow and avoiding lengthy management expenses.
-understand the importance of insurance verification and authorization attentiveness. A major important step in ensuring payment coverage, reducing denials, and enhancing cash flow.
-understand a “clean claim” and why having clean claims saves on the efficiency of cash flow and reduces expense. New KPIs are always being considered and old KPIs are always essential to monitor routinely.
