This course provides a comprehensive overview of the APTA’s latest digital health resources, foundational paper, practice guidelines, transparency initiatives, and advocacy efforts. Participants will gain practical insights into integrating digital technologies into clinical practice while aligning with professional standards and advancing patient outcomes.

Learning Objectives:

1. Identify the APTA Standards of Practice related to digital care and their implications for clinical practice.
2. Describe key elements from The Digitally Enabled Physical Therapist: An APTA Foundational Paper and their relevance to current and future practice models.
3. Explain APTA’s Digital Health Transparency Campaign and how it supports informed decision-making.
4. Utilize the APTA Digital Health App Formulary to evaluate digital health apps for clinical use.
5. Apply recommendations from the Telerehabilitation in Physical Therapist Practice: A Clinical Practice Guideline to enhance telehealth services.
6. Define important digital health terminology within the context of physical therapy.
7. Understand the application of Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) codes under Medicare based on APTA’s Practice Advisory.
8. Summarize APTA’s recent advocacy efforts in telehealth policy and politics.
9. Incorporate the latest research updates on digital health interventions to inform evidence-based practice

Course Instructions

1. Click on the Contents tab to watch the course recording.
2. Click the Take Quiz button to complete the assessment. Learners will have 3 attempts to pass and must answer at least 70% of questions correctly.
3. Click Fill Out Survey under the Evaluation listing to provide valuable course feedback. Scroll down on all questions as there may be answer options that expand past the size of the window.
